Hike Mt. Longonot on a private day trip from Nairobi, and admire the national park’s volcanic terrain of bubbling geysers and soaring rift valley cliffs. After your climb to the crater’s rim, you’ll relax with a lakeside for hot lunch, the full climb and descent take up to four hours, and a good general standard of fitness is needed. The day
Pick up from Nairobi Mount Longonot National Park going through the Kikuyu lush green highlands and then on the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley system.
Stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley floor from a bird’s eye view. The view from here is just amazing.
Continue to the heart of Mt. Longonot National Park for your crater hike. Follow your guide through the valley and climb through the ravines that carve around the mountain. The route is steep and requires one to be fit; you can make some rest stops at the designated places on the trek.
Get to the rim of the crater and look into the awesome crater below. If you have the strength for it, you can go round the rim of the crater. Descend from the Mount Longonot Relax for some while drive to Lake Naivasha for hot Lunch with your guide.
After lunch you will depart Lake Naivasha for Nairobi you will be dropped off in Nairobi.
